Apparently, Lazaro Mayami Diaz se quedo, or better said he went to Miami, not his namesake but possibly his new stage. Wondering who Manolito Y su Trabuco will hire, there is no lack of talent in Cuba in spite of the cantante leak of late. Mayami has a cameo in the film.

Thousands of People Danced in Cuba's Carnival in London
HAVANA, Cuba, July 3 Cuba's Carnival in London, has just ended in that city's Southwark Park.
The director of the Cuban Sur Caribe music group and honorary president of the carnival, Ricardo Leyva, was in charge of closing the event, which was also attended by another band, the Charanga Habanera.
Some 60,000 people participated in the Cuban carnival. (contactomundo.com)

“La música cubana siempre está de moda, yo creo que hay otros países que comienzan a tomar fuerza como es Colombia que sea hecho muy popular en los últimos años, es por eso, que el nombre de Cuba trae gente, además Cuba es el destino turístico con mayor crecimiento en el Reino Unido. Turistas que van a Cuba quieren seguir viviendo la experiencia cubana, entonces eso ayuda bastante” acotó José Luís.
De esta forma, muchos tuvieron la oportunidad de escuchar a la Charanga con todo su repertorio musical y ver el movimiento de caderas de sus bailarines que descrestaron a los asistentes. Leoni Torres "Te Necesito" Bajo la Piel Concert Clip
Leoni Torres, ex-singer for David Calzado and Charanga Habanera has a hit solo album called "Bajo la Piel", (Under the Skin soon on Amazon.com). Here he performs a lively part of the song with a dance routine as a singer-songwriter-dancer talent in full force. Leoni has a European tour in the summer, details soon.

Haila Mompie sings Quien Fue -- a remix on her new CD "Tal Como Soy"
Haiia Mompie is about to launch a new CD titled Tal Como Soy on the Bis Music label. It includes 11 songs by authors including Candido Fabre, Leonid Torres, Osmani Collado, Ricardo Amaray, Pedro Dikan and husband Aned Mota. It includes a house style remix of the hit "Quien Fue" from her previous CD Haila Diferente.
